SOUND CLIPS

For those interested in the tonal quality of my instruments the sound clips on this page should hopefully help to give a solid example of the sound quality of my guitars. Recorded on a Mahogany and Sitka Spruce OM that featured a side sound port, the following recordings were done at a friend’s studio in Nashville, TN. Please listen with either high quality headphones or the best speakers you have to maximize the listening experience. Enjoy!

This clip was recorded using an Audio-Technica AT4033 condenser microphone placed near the bridge of the guitar. It is a flat EQ, recording the opening lines of Keith Green’s classic “My Eyes Are Dry” using a cut capo to create an open E tuning effect.

This recording was done with an Audio-Technica AT4031, an earlier version of what would eventually become the AT4041. It was placed at the junction of neck and body (14th fret) with a flat EQ

Recorded with both an Audio-Technica AT4033 and AT4031 placed near the bridge and neck heel respectively, this recording was also captured with a flat EQ. It’s the chorus of an original song of mine, “More Alive.”
